Our Story
Our story started almost eight years ago when we needed bunk beds, in a hurry. After downsizing and giving away their furniture, we had a son moving back in after college and he brought a friend. Plus a nephew that needed a safe place. I know my boys, they are rough! They had already gone through some name brand (PB) furniture as kids that barely lasted a couple of years.
I didn't want to spend a lot on anything since, these were grown boys and I didn't know how long they would be here. I knew they could be rough on them and we were also very limited on space. So, as a designer I came up with a look and the other half of our team, Danny, the builder, made sure they were safe and sturdy.
We got compliments on it and built a few for friends and then posted a few on Craigslist and what we thought might be something Danny could do in his off time in the winter as a landscaper became a full time family enterprise. For nearly eight years now we've learned and grown and built a lot of bunk beds and other furniture. We hope you will let us build something special for you too.
Now that we're building other furniture besides just beds we are endeavoring to get all of our Creations under one umbrella, Ta-Da!
Knotty Dog Creations is born. We are still Mid TN Bunk Beds but we want to fill your home with gorgeous pieces. We feature gorgeous pieces and don't forget to show love on your walls.
